STEP ONE
WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE DIFFERENT IN YOUR LIFE?
I pose the question this was because it helps to attach meaning to the goals you have for yourself. If there is no meaning behind the change you want to make, it will be really hard to make the change sustainable.
Think about what you would like to be different: behaviors you would like to change, new habits you would like to create or even feelings that you would like to see more (or less) of.
Make a master list. I have a small spiral notebook I like to use for these sorts of thing. Love the ones from Barnes and Noble. Spend some time and get them all out.
There is no right or wrong way to do this. You may have one word responses; you might have short sentences; you may even need to sketch them out. However you do it, BE THOROUGH.
Done?
Now it’s time to look over you list and begin to narrow down the contenders.
Find something that is high in importance, but also one you feel you have a decent amount of personal control over, like losing weight, exercising more, etc.
Did you pick your ONE THING?
Write that ONE THING on a separate piece of paper. (remember we are taking very small steps).
You are ready for STEP TWO
